Room was very poor, tiling missing from bathroom wall, sliding door broken, bathroom floor dirty, shower was lukewarm and very little flow. Decor was worn and dirty, communal areas carpets dirtry, coridoor fire doors wedged open, smokey smell throughout. However the breakfast was superb.

Very happy with this very friendly hotel and will def stay here again. Don't look at this hotel and think its one of those cheap b&b's with doubtful clientele. This is a proper hotel with character run by professional and friendly people, far nicer than some faceless chain hotel.

Always a warm welcome from the manager. The hotel has period charm, an enormous Christmas tree and a small lounge with traditional furniture and antiques. A slight problem with non-working bedside lamps was attended to immediately. Service is prompt and courteous. A comfortable stay.

By Lyndon And Doreen
Just spent one night at this hotel, its well situated for the rugby/cricket grounds. Stayed in a double en suite that had a period feel to it, very clean with TV and tea and coffee, off the road parking to the rear. Close by are several pubs and eating establihments all within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance.
Service at the hotel was good and friendly had a good laugh with Bezza (Mark) I said I would write something nice about him, but couldn't think of anything "Only Joking mate" would definately stay here again most enjoyable short stay that made up for a dissapointing match result.
