The guesthouse was opened in 1981 by the Jackson family who have owned the Priory Hotel opposite since 1930. We have three generations of experience in providing accommodation in York and hope you come and visit us for a comfortable stay close to the heart of the city. Location Acres Dene is situated on the South side of the city on the A19 to Selby. Bedrooms All of our 6 bedrooms are comfortably furnished in pine with coordinated decoration. Each of our bedrooms has en-suite (shower & toilet), Tea and Coffee making facilities and a colour television. Single, double, twin and triple rooms are available. Lounge For your extra comfort we have a relaxing lounge to browse brochures and plan what to do or to rest after spending a day sightseeing or shopping. This room also has a television. Breakfast This is a light and spacious room with a traditional feel which sets the mood for the day. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am Monday to Friday and 8 to 9.30am Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Mondays. Breakfast can be served at other times by prior arrangement. We serve a cold buffet which consists of Fruit Juices and Cereal. This is followed by a full English breakfast - Bacon, Sausage, Egg, Fried bread and Tomato, Mushrooms or baked beans. All this is served with Toast and Filter Coffee or Tea. Guest House Facilities - Free Wireless Internet access

York York has a rich heritage as the city was founded by the Romans in 71 AD at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England. York has a thriving shopping centre and York Minster, York Castle Museum and The National Railway Museum are worth a visit.
